Automated Clearing Houses

Written on November 25, 2015, and posted on January 17, 2018

The following was written on November 25, 2015, a little more than a month after my Beloved’s crossover.

Banks have automated clearing houses or ACMs. I called the Social Security Administration about survivor benefits on Monday, November 23rd, 2015, over a month after my husband crossed over.   The Social Security worker said the funds should have been accessible, the latest should have been Friday, the 26th  I needed funds; I was my husband’s caregiver until he crossed over in October 2015.  All of his benefits ended.

I called on the 25th of November 2015; the money was released on the 23rd.  The worker confirmed the routing number and the account number twice.  The checking account number was compared to the information taken on the 5th of November by a   Social Security worker who had an unforgettable name: Cinnamon Alexander.  She took her time documenting my case.  I appreciated her sensitivity.  I did not like being in public places at the time.  It felt as if every other moment I would cry.  The last bank account digit was a 5.  The number inputted to the application was a 2.  That delayed my receiving by as much as three weeks.

It was suggested that I call the bank where the account was and ask about the ACH – the automated clearinghouse.  The bank’s representative said the amount is pending and will be available on December 1.  It was insignificant what Social Security said about funds from the Federal Reserve.  The bank’s representative, when asked about the ACH, said it was JP Morgan Chase, and they stated the funds, though pending, will not be available until December 1st.

The agent (whose name I recorded) ended our conversation with a cheerful, “Have a nice day, and thank you for calling South State Bank.”
I sensed that the delay may have had something to do with the Thanksgiving holiday on the 26th being the excuse.  What are they possibly doing with Federal Reserve money entrusted to them, justifying withholding it from to whom it was issued?   I was the only one left in our family.  I wondered if other people relied on their benefits and decisions on guaranteed funds are made like this, how do they cope?  Is it right, acceptable, and LEGAL for JP Morgan Chase or any other ACM to do this?  I was living in the south at the time: is this a regional action?  Or does this happen all over the country?   How often have they done this?  How often do they do this? I intend to legally pursue this.

I had not married multiple times.  My husband was my first and only.  After over twenty years with him, unmarried and married, it was impossible to think he would not come home from the hospital with me for more care in our home.

People say time heals all wounds. It is a generalization.  Time is relative, per person.  As I won’t forget my Beloved, I won’t forget what JP Morgan did.  Not only to me because God knows, how many other people may have experienced discomfort from their short-sighted – customer place – a decision to benefit their long-sighted – stockholder place – bottom line.   This statement is the first of many to bring to light a practice that apparently has happened before.  It may be a standard and not just enacted during the holidays in the southeast region of the United States.

Bravery is being the first to speak Truth and, even if others don’t want to hear it or hear it and agree but refuse to support by adding their voice and power, weathering the storms of disapproval and vilification.

Bravery is staying the course with the understanding that it takes decades, even centuries to reverse and rebuild from the hatred in which we continue to survive so that we can progress as our ancestors intended.

Bravery is standing by those words or actions and offering no apology for making the choice.

Ghost Shows

“Do All Things In-Vesica.”

Discerning Spirit – Gifts from Spirit by Allison L. Williams Hill

I watch a lot of ghost shows on television.  Many years ago, “The Scariest Places on Earth” was a prime-time show.  Then “Paranormal State” with an office at the University of Pennsylvania and dedicated paranormal investigators had episodes on their clients across the United States.   “A Haunting”; “Ghost Adventures”; “The Dead Files”; “Ghost Brothers”; “Paranormal Lockdown”; “Ghost Asylum”; “Kindred Spirits”; “My Haunted House”, are some of the more recent shows, with “stars” even, that have been spun to satisfy the public’s need to see other people’s experiences.  They offer that their purpose is to prove that the paranormal is real, that there is such a thing as spirits, demons, or ghosts.
The participants walked through homes or institutions, occupied or abandoned, with their equipment proving the existence of life after death or “residual energy,” and appear stunned; shocked, and even scared when “disembodied voices” were heard.  The circumstances under which the departed transitioned were sometimes disclosed.  The history of a property or building may be shared if it was significant.  Electronic recordings for voice and form, because human sight sees only a small span of the energy spectrum, tend to fall short of fully bringing these occurrences into the third-dimensional, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt place.  A lot of the results are still open to interpretation.
These investigators are still amazed time after time when they hear recorded voices or feel pressure on their bodies, or any other physical sensations not made by other living people.
The majority of these shows stop short of assisting what they believe are spirits to complete their journeys.  At the end of an episode, some stated ”…this place is definitely/without a doubt/etc. haunted.” “Yep, we have proof. There are spirits here.”
“Ghost Asylum” investigators prayed for themselves and the “…Spirits who are lost.”  I thought that was beautiful. Some may employ mediums or other professionals to move spirits on, especially if they were unaware they passed on or if they were destructive.  If more trained people prayed to assist the disincarnate to continue their journeys, or evicted negative energy, there probably won’t be another location to visit and investigate.   What would that do for and to the planet?
Locations where residents are advised to leave because of intense negative energy, these places absolutely need cleansing.  What does it do for the location, and the planet as a whole if some of these locations are cleared and others are left to worsen?  Shouldn’t all negative energies be removed? Can all negative energies be removed? I don’t know.
In some investigations, it seemed as if all of the pieces were not available.  On “The Dead Files”, which I think is a very good show with talented third dimension (and beyond) investigators, I would guess that shamans, mediums, spiritual cleansers, or healers may be so far distant from the places of need.   There may not have been enough to respond. Reading endnotes like “The activity continues…,” I wondered if the lack of follow-through was due to money to compensate and board a healer to perform the work.  Is there a need for charitable donations to assist people to clear their residences because they cannot afford to relocate?
All of these places serve as entertainment and sometimes at the suffering of the resident, family, patient or the memory of an inmate or mental patient.  Viewers watch from the comfort of their chairs as the intrepid risk life and limb in abandoned buildings and other structures populated by the unknown.
Will these locations be visited again like laboratory experiments where subsequent teams of investigators validate what was already revealed?  That’s like visiting a polluted lake, pronouncing its condition as polluted and another group visits to do the same thing.  I think all of the exposure serves a purpose: powerful human emotions and activities are responsible for the majority of these conditions. The caution is to be aware of what we do and think before we do them.   Maybe the locations were being cleansed, however, that information was not provided.
Some owners were advised to abandon their homes because they cannot be cleansed.   Discovering the conditions in which these places were left, I thought presented opportunities to cleanse in different ways.  Evil is not limited to any religion.  Maybe more than one spiritual or religious practitioner is required to completely change the energy.  Pairs of spiritual or religious practitioners, of the same or other religions, or triplets of same or other- in other words POWER!- to spin their heads faster than they could attack may be needed. I have not seen this done or suggested anywhere.  The amount and the intensity of these energies may be calling for something more than what has been practiced to date.

Prophecy – Gifts from Spirit by Allison L. Williams Hill
My cousins called from Georgia to wish me a happy new year.  It was good to hear from them.  I always think of them although I rarely follow through and call.
My cousin’s wife passed the week before.  I mentioned that I was thinking of her that day, the day before, and the day before that.  She was in my mind and I kept responding per the last phone call we had in which  I was editing my responses because I felt that she could not comprehend what I was expressing.
“All you need is love,”    she kept saying.  This was an impasse and it was annoying.  She only saw through the lens of her experience.  I, according to all the others I shared with, didn’t know what I was talking about.  I was too filled with emotion.  I was totally void of intelligence.  I was weak for experiencing something that had no basis in reality.
All of that mind-talk blocked me from the true reason I thought of her: she visited me to tell me that she crossed over.  This was the same reference that occurred before.  It happened two other times with two other people.  One, who I regretted not taking the time to call.  And another, who I wanted to call and tell her I relocated to another country but did not take the time to contact her.
The mind-talk instantaneously chattered, running prepared tapes,  without considering why they came into mind.  My sister finally, finally, helped me understand to ask “Why am I thinking of you?” or “Why does this thought keep returning?”  I don’t remember the conversation that leads to this realization.  But now I know:  Ask more questions.  Ask until I can ask no more.  I call it “mining”, digging until I can dig no more.  Mine the questions to exhaustion. Another lesson learned.  Now it needs to be applied.

A Use for a Cricket Series

by Allison L. Williams Hill  In-Vesica Art  Design  Energy

“Do All Things In-Vesica.”

Conflicts around the world involve destruction; disease and an increase in the amount of the earth’s surface used for internment.  I think as so-called civilized beings, there may be another way to resolve international disputes.
A different solution for disputes would be a cricket game.  It is evident that the cricket game is the activity on which baseball was created.  I went with Girl Scout Troop 9-132 to Shea Stadium in Flushing, Queens, and played with lanyard creating yet another key chain, stood and showed some interest when the makings of a home run came up.  Then I sat and resumed my handwork.  I have since found baseball interesting. However, nothing, short of an actual fire under my chair, could ever get me to develop the desire to watch, much less move at, a cricket match.   Being in the British Virgin Islands for almost twenty years has done nothing to pique my interest.

I will add at this point, in order for this to have some substance, I promised myself that I would interview somebody in the B.V.I. about the game.  Did you ever find root canals exciting?   I have never had a root canal done and that is why I work to keep my teeth healthy- so I would not have to.  Each time I thought about making the time to talk to a player or an enthusiast about cricket, I shook my head and quickly found something else to do.
Cricket is boring, slow, and ever so polite.  It is a calmative like lemon grass or chamomile tea.  I tend to nod off when I come across a game on television and I have the remote to surf!

A more productive use for cricket would be to use it as the theatre for war or for any international conflict.  Each country enters into a challenge.  Each country selects the first team of negotiators to identify the points of contention and establish the regulations under which they will be resolved known as Rules Development.   That should take about three to five years. The average three to five-year death tally; injury tally; cost of destruction, and collateral damage is zero.

Cricket is a gentlemanly sport; honesty is valued.  Remember when some United States corporations played both sides during World War I with Nazi Germany by supplying the Germans with weapons to injure and kill US infantry and not providing weapons or supplies to US troops because they made more money from Europe?  Sri Gurudas’ book Treason: New World Order documented this and is a book that has a bibliography that deserves follow-up: each reference is valuable.   That fact has the name of Prescott Bush, father of former President George Herbert Walker Bush attached to it.  Take a look at Educate-Yourself.org’s writing with images of people photographed in Germany who may be George Herbert Walker Bush and his father, both national-born Germans.   The distance between the eyes is always constant; if the photographs are subjected to software with that information, it will confirm or deny if they are who the writer believed.  If those images were true, then George Herbert Walker Bush should neither have run for nor been elected president of this country.

The work the negotiators perform is known as the Negotiator’s Round.  During the Negotiator’s Round, Players are selected, warriors all.  This may extend a year or so beyond Rules Development.  Players may change according to what is revised and agreed to among the Negotiators.  Where shall the “game” be executed?  The venue would be decided during the Negotiator’s Round.

Whether or not an audience will be allowed to observe- should they be selected or volunteer? – would be determined.  An audience would be decided during Rules Development.  If they would be selected or random attendees would be determined during the Negotiator’s Round.

Should an even number of sides be selected or should a population to equally represent the embattled countries be established?  Where shall they sit?  How long shall they remain in their seats?  Will they be allowed any bathroom breaks?  Would it be possible to create revenue with commercials or corporate signage?  Should people from opposing sides be allowed to mingle?  How about a clause for a fault: should spectators move to satisfy the penalty rather than penalizing players? Wouldn’t it be enough to watch a continuous game of slow, lackluster, paddle ball hitting?

Penalties, faults, etc. are all subject to decisions by committee, the same one that created the regulations.  (That’s right! During Rules Development.  You really are awake!) Environmental events are adequate reasons for postponing a game.  So monsoons, tornadoes, hurricanes, and deep freeze snowstorms will “freeze” the progress of resolution.  However, the negotiators decide, which could take longer than the environmental event itself.

The negotiators also decide the following. I made a few suggestions:
Location: Countries with existing courts can be compensated by countries without. Negotiators would resolve hosting issues for Observers with the host country.

Clothing: Attire is determined according to the location of the game.  Countries are responsible for outfitting their participants, in the country’s colors for easy identification.

Equipment: standard equipment without stamps or identifying symbols of the manufacturer’s name or location.

Alternatives: Any changes are determined by the Negotiators.

Observers’ presence: Negotiators would resolve visiting population, residence locations, and other accommodations and restrictions to limit conflicts.

Types of refreshments or if observers eat AT ALL: Refreshments are present at games.  Negotiators determine if food is allowed, what kind, and who provides it. This concept allows the opportunity to generate revenue.  I hope that makes corporations (warmongers) happy.

I find that cricket drags on.  On the other hand, it is enjoyable to watch athletic bodies at work. A cricket match would take longer to resolve disputes than probably an actual dispute. No lives would be lost. No reconstruction is required. All man-made and natural structures remain intact.  The disputing parties could have scheduled tea times to discuss civility. Months, or years later, the only bodies in the stadium may be government officials.  Updates are broadcast at dinner hours around the world.

Commercial messages are designed to sell products.  The ads target specific users and are always reaching for more to increase profit.  Some of the messages should be questioned.  Among them are two that subtly convey society-altering ideas.
Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead share Lays Potato Chips.  They consume a product that is like them as they laugh gleefully.  In another commercial, a Cinnamon Toast Crunch square consumes another square.  It was too late for the second square when it realized what was about to happen.

The first commercial used adult potatoes traveling in a vehicle.  The second Lays commercial had children potato heads discovering their parents behind flora at a campsite.  A third commercial showed Mr. Potatohead discovering Mrs. Potatohead (a blond, interesting) consuming potato chips in the pantry of their home.  The Mr. Potatohead toy was distributed in 1952, recognizable by at least three generations.

The Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials’ target market is children with seriously unaware parents who consider objects eating others like themselves as innocuous.
Both used animation, Lays’ specifically uses stop animation, like a children’s entertainment show. These animated images consume things that are like themselves and attempt to render the message harmless because they are not real. It is only animation, after all. The message’s method reduces any objection to the unnatural suggestion of and the acceptance of eating others like oneself as irrational and not worthy of consideration.
Someone might say I’m being irrational.  I ”see” cannibalism. Like eating like is cannibalism.  Gary Larsen’s The Far Side had a comic where a chicken, in bed with a thermometer in its beak, was given a bowl of chicken soup.  The chicken offering the soup ended with, “…Besides, it’s no one we know.” It acknowledged the act of cannibalism.  This humor of Larsen’s comic was dark, and intentionally so. His audience was mature persons capable of understanding that type of humor.  However, children are impressionable and are learning to discern right from wrong.  Socially unacceptable acts displayed by fun, animated characters in commercials present a problem.  A parent, who is vigilant in vetting what his or her child watches cannot prevent viewing of a commercial because, unlike series, movies, etc., they have no warning.  They are televised within seconds of screens fading to black and are over in about twice that much time.
It all comes down to one’s point of view.  If a parent or guardian sees these commercials, they can elect to discuss them with their child.  Or they can elect to not discuss them if they think it’s harmless to see an excessively large tongue from a cinnamon square licking milk from another one prior to engulfing it.

“The Daily Show” Mistake on March 13, 2008

by Allison L. Williams Hill

“Do All Things In-Vesica.”

Originally posted on January 11, 2018

The Village Voice online is posting archival articles.  I happened to log on and saw something that made me smile: from the December 2, 1971 issue, Vol. XVI, No. 48, the article of  Brooklyn Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm’s declaration of her candidacy for President of the United States written by Mary Breasted entitled “They will remember a 100-pound woman.”  Besides being an African-American, she was the first woman to run for the nation’s highest office.   Contrary to what a Daily Show presenter,  Kristen Schaal, stated in a piece on Thursday March 13, 2008 where she claimed  “…it took  232 years to get a woman this close…”  referring to Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.  That is true,  however, no mention was made of Shirley Chisholm’s historic act on January 25, 1972.  Despite the fact that she was not alive when Shirley Chisholm ran, the information exists.

Everyone knew she was not going to win and so did she but that was not the point.  Shirley Chisholm did it because she could.  How great that Shirley Chisholm had no inhibitions to running for president 40 years ago.  Shirley Chisholm, I quote from the article, “… told her audience she was out to prove to the public …that other kinds of people can steer the ship of state besides the white men…”

What can hold us back from attempting great things?  This is still a new year.  Each day is a new day.  Who isn’t into New Year’s resolutions except those who have attempted to create them and failed to implement them? Whether you create resolutions or not, it is still planning.  You plan to or you plan not to.
I have been working on removing blocks from my subconscious to free the way for me to do anything I want to do this year and beyond. One block was I thought I’d go to Hell if I became rich. I did not test to see if I had a block to becoming a politician because that is not what I want to do.I want to create a comfortable lifestyle for my husband and me, but also do what politicians are supposed to do: be of service.

Even after creating 2011+ goals, this morning at 5 AM, I ask myself, “What do I dare to be?” Darius Barenzedah of You Wealth Revolution recently offered a peek at a course he is offering to align one’s goals with their values. I knew what my values were, or thought I did. I found another after the hacker con incident. I always felt that a mark of adulthood was responsibility, to be able to assist family and friends when they require help. I felt the need to express that when I read the emails, despite the alarms that were raised. The level above that was to be aware and cautious, to refuse when things did not feel right. The realization of false evidence appearing real (FEAR) was a useful revelation and revealed abilities I did have. I did not have to prove anything; I possessed what I thought was missing.
Goals and values align, then one can move into what one wants to have. We realize that what we struggle with and fail to achieve may be something we should not be doing in the first place. There are some things we should not do and understand that it is not a failure. We need to find help. If it is embarrassing to ask for help outside of yourself, go within. We all have energies that assist. Talk to the air around you. Ask. You will be the lead, just like I found this article again when it had been on my mind since I saw “The Daily Show.”I remembered Shirley Chisholm that day but not since Hillary Clinton ran. Now I can say, “If Shirley Chisholm and Hillary Clinton could run for President (not forgetting Geraldine Ferraro’s run for Vice President), I could (fill in the blank).”

This is a direct copy of an article run by the Village Voice newspaper. Jon Stewart on his “The Daily Show” completely missed this information. One of his white female staffers went on about Clinton; she may have mentioned Geraldine Ferraro, however, she was running for Vice President.  The point is Shirley Chisholm was never mentioned.  Why was that?

‘They will remember a 100-pound woman’
By Mary Breasted

The tiny glittering black woman stood utterly at attention. She wore a suit of stiff brocade that fitted her shoulders so snugly it gave her a faintly military air. There was, in fact, something about her that suggested the Salvation Army. Perhaps it was only her stiff shoulders, or perhaps also her frequent references to the Lord. Then, too, she had a way of drawing herself up even straighter and stiffer in her moments of intensity, looking then totally charged with inspiration, a small quivering ramrod of righteousness.

“I’m here to tell you tonight, yes, I dare to say I’m going to run for the Presidency of the United States of America!” she uttered at the climactic center of her speech.

When she said the word “dare,” she fairly squinted with indignation, and, propelled along now by her own anger, she told her audience she was out to prove to the public “that other kinds of people can steer the ship of state besides the white men…”

“Regardless of the outcome,” she continued, more slowly now for emphasis, “they will have to remember that a little 100-pound woman, Shirley Chisholm, shook things up!”

The small and hyper-tense black Congresswoman from Brooklyn was speaking to some 1300 of her supporters in a ballroom of the Americana Hotel three weeks ago. The occasion was the first fund-raising dinner for her Presidential campaign, and she had drawn to it just about everyone of importance in Brooklyn and Manhattan politics, including John Lindsay. A night of glory for her, the dinner raised some $60,000 and demonstrated her considerable drawing power in this city.

But before another week was out, her still unofficial candidacy would appear to be shaking up Shirley Chisholm every bit as much as it was shaking up the male politicians she so longed to unnerve. For she went at the end of the week to a conference of black elected officials at Washington’s Sheraton-Park Hotel, where she was made to feel only barely welcome. The few female politicians in attendance did react warmly to her, but the black male congressmen, who appeared to be calling all the shots, were almost openly contemptuous of her.

Thursday evening (November 18) a cocktail party for the visiting black politicians was held in a large room in the Rayburn building on Capitol Hill. It was a gathering of black celebrities, who, like their white counterparts at such affairs, basked in the smiles of pretty girls, looked around to see who else of importance was present, and generally gave off that ineffable air of people who have made it and know it. Success seems to break down all philosophical barriers at Washington cocktail parties, and on this evening, at least, success had gathered in the same room black men as disparately oriented as the Nixon and Kennedy officials who showed up at the first Kennedy Center party…

Shirley Chisholm is a mixed bag. She can be calculating and manipulative; she can sacrifice principle to expedience; she can be courageous and moving; she can be hysterical one moment, shapely dazzling rational the next.
She has announced that she will enter the Florida, North Carolina, and California primaries, the least of which makes no sense for a black who wants to contribute delegates to a black caucus at the convention. Whoever wins the California primary takes all the delegates to the convention; thus California blacks would do better to ride on the slate of a strong black candidate.

At this point, Mrs. Chisholm’s candidacy is obviously troublesome to her black colleagues in Congress. And though reporters find her good copy, they can’t understand why she’s running. It may be sheer ego; it may be her tenacious feminism that has motivated her. But this is the reason I overheard her telling a cluster of black women at the conference: “After this is over, I’ve done my thing for America…This is my legacy for the folks. Somebody has to have the guts to show the others we can do it.”

The Spirit of the Island II by Allison L. Williams Hill
I’m listening to HALO right now, one of Adam King’s compositions. I met Adam King by mistake. Darius Barazandeh, the founder of You Wealth Revolution, had workshops I was interested in. Adam King’s The Tessera Method, my error selection, was not one of them. He offered me the opportunity to try it and if I was not satisfied, he would refund the cost. I rarely listen to or use the course I wanted instead of the Tessera Method. Things do happen for a reason.
The Tessera Method offers the user a different way of thinking. If applied, the tangled web of emotions and logic reform to produce a balanced way forward. You drive yourself instead of your reactions to the external world driving you.
I recently thanked him for carrying me.  I did not explain on Facebook that I was grateful for all of the hours of his music and Tessera that helped me through, and continue to, my husband’s body death.  I played one piece over and over and over.  It kept me “here.” So often I thought of joining my husband. My Beloved wanted me to be around more people because had I remained in isolation, I probably would have done it.  I thought of it many times before meeting him. The only thing that changed was the reason, not the method.  Another friend who crossed over made it clear to me that the feelings one carried into suicide remained with them.  It would not have brought me to my Beloved.
I listened to Adam’s music as I wrote my first novel.  I listened to his music as I meditated.  I listened to his music as I did psychic art.  And I listened to his music as I cried for my Beloved as I lay in his bed.
I am here for a reason and I am pursuing it.  I do my best by God.   Some might be thinking, “Well, what is it?”  Only I need to know.  If it brings us together, then we will both learn from it and move through it.
Below are some of the videos  I created with Adam’s music, with his permission.

One more thing.  As I wrote Shades, my first novel, Adam’s music was playing in my head. Chartreuse was dancing to “Freedom Andrea’s Oboe.” Click on Shades to read a few chapters.
Thank you, Adam. You are a genius.

George Washington Carver

“Do All Things In-Vesica.”

Originally posted on January 11, 2018

George Washington Carver was called “The Black Leonardo.”
He walked through the woods at four in the morning and listened.
He created a garden as a child and sang to plants.  He attended Simpson College and transferred to Iowa State College of Agriculture.
He knew that the poor practices of mono-agriculture destroyed land.
The peanut revealed it equaled protein in sirloin steak, and carbs in potatoes.  Carver found that one-third of the nut had seven different varieties of oil and twenty-four other products.  He issued bulletins on the discoveries:  two hundred pounds of milk equaled ten pounds of peanut butter; one hundred pounds of peanuts equaled thirty-five pounds of peanut butter.
From twenty sources of leaves, roots, and stems he got five hundred thirty-six separate dyes that could be used for wool; cotton; linen; silk, and leather. Forty-nine of the colors were from Scuppernong Grape.  He saved wheat by mixing flours with sweet potatoes.  Nutritionists and dieticians were treated to a vegetarian dinner with mixed flours, sheep sorrel, peppergrass, wild chicory, and dandelions in a salad.  Carver made “mock chicken” from peanuts and sweet potatoes.
Carver created a “starch” valuable to the textile industry which later became a component in the glue for postage stamps.”
Peanut oil helped atrophied muscles of polio victims.
A lot of us heard or read the above and knew that he was born into slavery. What was recently shared in an article by Yolanda Spivey in 2014 was that when he was a  little boy, Carver was castrated by the man who owned him. Allegedly, Carver became a house servant and since he was going to spend the majority of his time in the house, his owner didn’t want him to rape his daughter, so he took away his ability to mature into a fully functioning adult male.“…a person close to Carver spoke with the doctors who examined him when he died and confirmed that where there should’ve been testicles, there was scar tissue.”
The cost of being a House Negro: “Although I wasn’t able to gather concrete evidence, I came across many websites that suggested that Black slaves in America were often castrated if they were assigned to work in the homes of their Masters.”
His faith was in something higher than man in spite of “…(Dick) Gregory insisted that George Washington Carver was stripped of his dignity and manhood…when Carver was a little boy…”
I used two sources for this information: The Secret Life of Plants, by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird; “THE CASTRATION OF GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER

Here’s a very interesting article from Yolanda Spivey of YourBlackWorld.com. It’s about Dr. George Washington Carver and statements made by Dick Gregory in the documentary “Hidden Colors 3” regarding Dr. Carver being castrated when he was a boy. Yolanda did her research and provides sources to substantiate Dick Gregory’s statements and we appreciate that.

THE CASTRATION OF GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER
Published On September 15, 2014
By Yolanda SpiveyI came across an interesting clip from the popular documentary, “Hidden Colors 3.” In it, legendary comedian, writer, and activist Dick Gregory, gave a brief assessment on racism in America. He also said something that was quite startling—George Washington Carver was a victim of castration.George Washington Carver who is known as one of America’s greatest scientist was born into slavery sometime in 1864. Much of his early life was unknown; but what we do know about this great man is that he was the inventor of many food products that eventually became everyday staples in the diets of Americans.Carver who never married, devoted much of his time to science and kept himself busy with a plethora of hobbies such as knitting, painting, sewing, and of course his research as it related to agriculture.

Gregory insisted that George Washington Carver was stripped of his dignity and manhood. When Carver was a little boy, he was castrated by the man who owned him. Allegedly, Carver became a house servant and since he was going to spend a majority of time in the house, his owner didn’t want him to rape his daughter, so he took away his ability to mature into a fully functioning adult male.

What was also startling about this story is hearing the actual voice of Carver. It was quite high-pitched—I can’t even describe it.

So I had to do my research.

While some research states that Carver’s voice was high pitched due to scarring on his throat as a result of developing whooping cough as a child, others state that castration was much likely the cause.

In her 1981 book George Washington Carver: Scientist and Symbol, author Linda O. McMury notes that when asked why he wasn’t married, Carver vaguely eluded to friends in 1937 that an unpleasant event from his past prevented him from ever marrying or having children. He never specified what happened.

Authors Harley Flack and Edmund D. Pellegrino stated in their 1992 book African-American Perspectives on Biomedical Ethics, that Carver had his critical body parts removed by a “Dr. Dιck.” The authors stated that the incident took place when Carver was only 11 years old and he actually approved of the procedure, as he didn’t want to be seen as a threat to society. He also wanted an education and dedicated his life to service. The authors state that Carver’s owner put the young man through the procedure because he “needed a new house servant and companion for his daughter.”

Further proof came from biographer Peter Burchard, who in 2010 did an interview with Iowa Public Radio in which he suggested that c@stration was also a factor. Burchard stated that a person close to Carver spoke with the doctors who examined him when he died and confirmed that where there should’ve been testicles, there was scar tissue.

What the hell?

In renaissance times, it was quite common that Eunuchs (men who’d had their reproductive organs removed) be used to guard the castle in many European countries. The King would put these Eunuchs in place because they knew that it would be impossible for them to carry on sexual relationships with the Queen and Princess of the castle. It’s only feasible to assume that the practice was carried over into slavery.

Although I wasn’t able to gather concrete evidence, I came across many websites that suggested that Black slaves in America were often c@strated if they were assigned to work in the homes of their Masters.

Carver’s voice never fully developed because it’s possible that his male hormones never developed properly. Throughout most of his life, people thought he was a homosexual. At one point, he courted a woman by the name of Sarah L. Hunt for three years. But historians suggested that the union lasted until she took a teaching position in California.

Why am I bringing up old stuff again? Because this is another example of the atrocities committed against Black men in this country. I saw George Washington Carver one way before I learned about this atrocity. Now I see him as a victim. Yes, he created a great legacy for himself and is down in the history books as one of the greatest scientists to ever grace American soil. But his right to reproduce was traded in for such an accolade. His right to marry and have sexual relations was stripped away from him.

Nevertheless, he is again one of the greatest scientists in America’s history.

There are no heirs, no descendants.

Cravings: How to Pinpoint the Reasons for and How to Change Them

by Allison L. Williams Hill  In-Vesica  Art  Design  Energy

“Do All Things In-Vesica.”

Originally posted on January 11, 2018

Craving is defined as an urge to eat certain foods. You may crave tastes or a specific food you know will satisfy that taste.  In other words, if you tend to crave something salty, you may translate that as a desire for potato chips, pretzels, foods you know that contain salt.

There are 6 tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, astringent, and pungent.  Most cravings tend to be for sweet or salty foods, hence the plethora of snack foods manufacturers to “satisfy” one’s desire for either.  However, a line of snacks has been created over decades to satisfy both sweet and salty tastes,  a combination is now available in familiar kettle corn products, and new M&Ms with pretzels inside.    Due to their availability, it is very easy to select such products for cravings, however, to maintain a healthy body and mind,  it is prudent to train the self when these signals alert one and connect new solutions with the signals.

Dr. Bruce Lipton, author of  “The Wisdom of Your Cells” endured a lot of negativity for his understanding of how much our bodies are influenced by thought.  The actions of the cells are driven by perceptions of the environment.  The switch is perception; it controls behavior.  The cells read environmental signals and then adjust the biology of the body to meet the perception.  Inappropriate perception results in dis-ease.

Likewise, the availability and abundance of consumable products (I think it is wrong to call them food products because you eat them), a.k.a. “junk foods” so-called because they offer no nutritional value to the body, are programmed in our minds with associated pleasures of “crunch” and “soft” and initiated in the first place.

You may crave food, and eat what you think you want but be hungry for it again because the body’s needs were not satisfied.  The craving will continue until your body’s needs are met.

The eight primary causes of cravings are:

  1. 1. Lack of water can send the message that you are thirsty and on the verge of dehydration. Dehydration can manifest as mild hunger, so the first thing to do when you get a craving is to drink a full glass of water. Excess water can also cause cravings, so be sure that your water intake is well-balanced.

  1. 2. Lack of primary food. Being dissatisfied with a relationship or having an inappropriate exercise routine (too much, too little or the wrong type), being bored, stressed, uninspired by a job, or lacking a spiritual practice may all cause emotional eating. Eating can be used as a substitute for entertainment or to fill the void of primary food.
  1. Yin/yang imbalance. Certain foods have more yin qualities (expansive) while other foods have more yang qualities (contractive). Eating foods that are either extremely yin or extremely yang causes cravings in order to maintain balance. For example, eating a diet too rich in sugar (yin) may cause a craving for meat (yang). Eating too many raw foods (yin) may cause cravings for extremely cooked (dehydrated) foods or vice versa.
  1. Inside coming out. Oftentimes, cravings come from foods that we have recently eaten, foods eaten by our ancestors, or foods from our childhood. A clever way to satisfy these cravings is to eat a healthier version of one’s ancestral or childhood foods.

  1. Seasonal. Often the body craves foods that balance the elements of the season. In the spring, people crave detoxifying foods like leafy greens or citrus foods. In the summer, people crave cooling foods like fruit, raw foods, and ice cream, and in the fall people crave grounding foods like squash, onions, and nuts. During winter many crave hot and heat-producing foods like meat, oil, and fat. Cravings can also be associated
  1. Lack of nutrients. If the body has inadequate nutrients, it will produce odd cravings. For example, inadequate mineral levels produce salt cravings and overall inadequate nutrition produces cravings for non-nutritional forms of energy like caffeine.
  1. Hormonal. When women experience menstruation, pregnancy, or menopause, fluctuating testosterone, and estrogen levels may cause unique cravings. It may also be true of men experiencing andropause.
  1. De-evolution.When things are going extremely well, sometimes a self-sabotage syndrome happens. We crave foods that throw us off, thus creating more cravings to balance ourselves. This often happens from low blood sugar and may result in strong mood swings.  This may also have to do with subconscious tape programming, especially when we are following constructed programs to reduce and maintain healthy body weight.

Part II will look at addictions and allergies.
